Our Ellucian Managed Services team is seeking to hire a Manager, Application Administration at University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne.
The University of Saint Francis is a Catholic institution with a strong focus on liberal arts and health sciences. Its mission-driven culture, commitment to student success, and values-based environment play a critical role in shaping the success of the College and the impact of its technology initiatives.
The Manager, Application Administration provides leadership and oversight for a team responsible for delivering functional and technical services across the University's portfolio of business applications. This includes the ERP system (Colleague - Student, Finance, Financial Aid, Human Resources, and Admissions), the LMS (Canvas), and other integrated enterprise applications supporting the campus community.
This role directs both on-site and remote team members including analysts, system administrators, database administrators, and functional specialists to advance the effective use of institutional applications and data assets. The Manager is accountable for the administration, optimization, and strategic implementation of both SaaS and on-premises solutions, with a strong emphasis on the Colleague SaaS ERP environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing system performance, upgrades, integrations, data integrity, and user access, while ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience across departments.
The Manager works closely with campus stakeholders to align application services with the University's mission, departmental priorities, and institutional goals. The position is reported directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

  • Ensure the effective and efficient use of all Colleague SaaS functionalities across departments, driving adoption, optimization, and alignment with institutional goals.
  • Leverage experience with Colleague ODS and/or Insights to support data-driven decision-making, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead application-related projects including system enhancements, integrations, data migrations, and new module implementations.
  • Document and recommend changes for current business processes and procedures, including the functional program intent, and features; data input, processing, and output requirements; internal, external constraints, and controls.
  • Communicate program design and specifications to technical teams and end users and to integrate suggested changes and recommendations into these specifications.
  • Oversee planned changes to production environment, documenting risk, developing, and executing test plans and confirming changes are successfully implemented and supported.
  • Manage resource persons providing technical and functional assistance and priorities by responding to requests for service or unplanned service disruptions and communicating with administrative departments and support teams.
  • Implement standardized IT procedures and ensure that technical documentation and training programs are current to ensure continuity of program operations.
  • Promote communication between customers and team members by holding regular meetings and preparing all required status reports.
