Are you a strategic fundraising leader with expertise in donor development, grant acquisition, and revenue generation? Gloucester Mathews Humane Society (GMHS) is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Development to lead fundraising initiatives, grant strategy, donor engagement, and management of The Williams Center.


About the Role


The Director of Development serves as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for creating and executing strategies that ensure the financial sustainability of GMHS. This role oversees philanthropy, donor stewardship, grant development, special events, earned revenue opportunities, and community partnerships.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and execute annual fundraising and development plansIdentify, cultivate, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors

Research, write, and manage grant proposals and reporting requirementsLead fundraising campaigns, major gifts, sponsorships, and special events

Oversee operations and revenue growth of The Williams Center

Collaborate with the Shelter Director, Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers

Track fundraising performance and support budgeting efforts

Represent GMHS throughout the community


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceNonprofit fundraising experience
