Your Opportunity: 

  • As the Accounting Manager, you will apply analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial management issues within sales territories, with a particular focus on Commission and Field Bank activities. This role is responsible for facilitating audit requests related to Commissions and Field Banks and ensuring all related information is complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Your role will manage and support 1 onsite Accountant and an offshore team that prepares daily activities, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.

What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:

  • Implement a standardized process to managing the commission system.
  • Supervise staff to ensure the commission and field bank accounting is complete and accurate.
  • Monitor system interfaces and system enhancements impacting the commissions recorded and validate through testing the systems are properly calculating commissions.
  • Commission and field bank variance analysis and assist in forecasting the balance sheet accounts as well as cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Assist in the creation of presentations for the Executive Leadership Team to report commission status, overdraft reserve, and field bank receipts as needed.
  • Monitor and remediate gaps in the internal control structure of the commission and field bank areas.
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations review and audit
  • Partner with key stakeholders to continuously improve processes as opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, SOX controls and documentation.
  • Providing relevant and timely information to the Corporate Controller and CFO on balance sheet and cash flow budget/forecast.
  • Backup preparer for the payment run calculation and release in alignment with the cash forecast, weekly.
  • Miscellaneous project assistance

 Education / Certifications Required (if needed):

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA license is a plus.
  • 3-4 years’ accounting experience.  Supervisory experience a plus
  • Strong in MS Office Applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Use of advanced MS applications such as PowerPivot, Power Query and Power BI
  • Use of large ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle or Peoplesoft
  • SAP and/or Infor experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
  • Reading, communication, math.
  • Working at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
