Job description

Position Summary

The Dock Attendant plays a key role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of Pleasant Harbor Marina. This position supports daily marina operations while delivering a high level of customer service to guests and tenants.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to providing a positive waterfront experience through attention to detail and responsive service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of docks, walkways, sidewalks, and marina facilities
  • Collect and dispose of trash and debris throughout the marina
  • Ensure availability and condition of push carts for customer use
  • Perform dock inspections and audits to ensure safety and compliance
  • Conduct waste pump-out services in accordance with environmental and safety standards
  • Assist with general maintenance and operational tasks across the marina as needed
  • Identify, report, and help mitigate safety hazards or maintenance concerns
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers and guests
  • Support other marina or District operations as assigned


Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate equipment such as forklifts, boats, and other machinery
  • Strong work ethic with reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with the public
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
  • This is a safety-sensitive position. Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and may be subject to random testing in accordance with District policy.
