Brief Description:
The MWD Coordinator oversees Measurement While Drilling (MWD) operations, ensuring compliance with MS Directional standards and delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers. This role focuses on operational excellence, customer engagement, personnel development, and financial accountability. Reports to Director MWD Operations.
Detailed Description:
  • Coordinate all pre-job planning, ensuring equipment and personnel readiness per customer schedule
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers regarding MWD operations, performance updates, and issue resolution
  • Monitor daily MWD activities, troubleshoot wellsite issues, and ensure adherence to drilling programs
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, customer-facing reports and post-job reviews
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain service quality and operational efficiency
  • Drive personnel development through mentoring, performance feedback, and training initiatives
  • Ensure accurate job costing, review service tickets, and validate charges against pricing agreements
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism in all interactions
  • Complete all updates and daily reporting as expected
  • Approve MWD Field Specialists' timesheets, monthly expenses, per diem and personnel assignments for field operations
  • Complete other assignments associated with MS Directional business as directed

Job Requirements:
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates initiative, integrity, and professionalism
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive performance improvements
  • Ability to travel frequently to districts, customer sites, and vendor facilities
  • Adherence to all company safety procedures in varied work environments
  • Willingness to complete additional assignments as directed by the Director MWD Operations

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) year stable related work history as an MWD Field Specialist with experience in multiple regions and various equipment types.
  • Eligible to meet requirements to drive on Company business

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in coordinating and oversight of MWD Field Operations.
Proficient computer skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.)
Additional Details:
Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. You are regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional light lifting, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone and other office equipment.
