MRI Research Manager Radiology
Location: 3400 Spruce St.
Department: Radiology
Schedule: M-F Day
Summary:
The MRI Research Manager is responsible for managing the MRI Research Service Center (CAMRIS) operations and technologist staff. The Manager collaborates on the development of policy and procedures while focusing on education, staff development, and process improvement. The Manager collaborates with CAMRIS and Clinical Radiology administrative and technical staff. Assists as needed to perform MRI studies.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily operations of all CAMRIS MRI scanners at HUP and UPenn. This includes ensuring the facilities are operating efficiently, properly stocked and staff are supported.
Management of CAMRIS technologist staff. This includes employee scheduling, staffing, payroll, and employee management. This also includes resource planning and enhancing workforce productivity.
Administrative Director on policy development and process improvement.
Leads MRI protocol review and development for research studies, assigning responsibilities to CAMRIS technologists and physics staff as needed.
Collaborates with CAMRIS Administrative Director to maintain regular research MRI technologist staff meetings and educational sessions.
Collaborates with clinical MRI staff, including administrators, nurses, and radiologists, to develop and support joint processes and services.
Collaborates with CAMRIS Administrative Director to ensure research study teams are educated on CAMRIS services and processes.
Ensures implementation of image and system quality control processes, assigning responsibilities to CAMRIS technologists and physics staff as needed.
Credentials:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
  • ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Arts or Science And 5+ years Technical experience within MRI research in a hospital setting (Required)
