Wage - $60,000 annually

Schedule – Full Time, 8hr shifts, Monday – Friday

MTC is proud to operate the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Makawao, HI where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people’s lives and we want YOU to join our team!

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for a variety of functions related to career counselors, recreation coordinator, residential living including dormitory management, and secretary in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

  1. Plan, coordinate, and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
  2. Hire, train, and coach staff within the department.
  3. Establish, and implement training programs for employees and students regarding safety & security, residential living, and recreation departments.
  4. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports. 
  5. Direct program changes; evaluate programs for new students and staff.
  6. Ensure records for the shift and dormitories are maintained up to date. Monitor timeliness and quality of student case note entries in CIS.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of related experience, two (2) years of supervisor experience preferred. 
  • Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required. 
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
