Maintenance and Engineering Manager

We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance &Engineering Manager to join a leading packaging manufacturer in Canton, OH.


This is an excellent opportunity to lead the Maintenance & Engineering function, driving reliability, capital projects, continuous improvement and engineering strategy within a high-volume manufacturing facility.


What You'll Do

  • Lead the Maintenance & Engineering department, ensuring safety and environmental compliance
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Improve equipment reliability, plant efficiency and manufacturing performance
  • Manage capital projects from planning through implementation
  • Partner with Production to reduce downtime and improve operational performance
  • Oversee CMMS, maintenance planning and work order management
  • Manage plant utilities and identify energy and cost-saving opportunities
  • Lead, develop and mentor maintenance technicians and engineering staff
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers, OEMs and external service providers
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and operations
  • Provide leadership across mechanical, electrical, facilities and mobile equipment maintenance


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years' maintenance or engineering leadership experience within manufacturing
  • Previous experience managing maintenance teams and engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems
  • Experience managing capital projects and maintenance budgets
  • CMMS and work order management experience
  • Understanding of PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience within high-volume packaging manufacturing environments is required.
