Job Description Summary

Offered at U.S. based resorts, the Management Development Program (MDP) is an intensive immersion program offering participants work experience throughout a resort. Working in a resort and with site leadership, participants will have the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their leadership, management and hospitality skills.

This position is a Non-Exempt Management position and will be paid an hourly rate with overtime paid in accordance with state and federal law. A valid driver's license may be required with at least one year of clean driving history based on location.

Hourly range is from $25.00/hour to $27.41/hour based on location.

Program Overview

The Management Development Program offers a combination of learning activities, task-based assignments, practical work experience, and the ability to practice and develop leadership skills. Participants will also be partnered with a dedicated mentor/sponsor who will assist them with navigating the program.

  • 12-month program rotating through multiple departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of resort operations.

    • Departments may include - Front Office, Housekeeping, Recreation, Safety & Security, Food & Beverage and Facilities.

  • Curriculum contains department focused checklists with weekly focus areas.

  • Opportunity to interact with owners, guests and associates while building operational expertise.

Program Requirements

  • Candidates will need to earn a bachelor's degree by the time they begin the program. Preferred degree in Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management. Business and Hospitality minor will also be considered

  • Candidates should be recent graduates within the current semester or up to two years post-graduation

  • Prior hospitality or resort operations experience preferred
