Job description

Armed Security Guard – Residential Property (Hempstead, NY)
Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts


Global Investigations & Asset Protection Inc. is seeking experienced and professional Armed Security Guards to provide security services at a residential housing community in Hempstead, NY.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional security presence and promote a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff
  • Conduct scheduled patrols and document activities using the DTEC reporting system
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed incident and activity reports
  • Monitor building access points and visitor entry procedures
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, disturbances, and security-related incidents
  • Enforce site policies and procedures while maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Communicate effectively with management, residents, and emergency responders when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Armed Security Guard License
  • Valid Concealed Carry Certification
  • Prior experience in residential security, building security, law enforcement, military, or armed security operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare professional reports and maintain accurate documentation
  • Dependable, professional, and capable of exercising sound judgment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform patrol duties for extended periods
  • Must be available to work 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

Independent Contractor Information:

  • This position is classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor role.
  • Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and applicable business expenses.
  • Must maintain all required licenses and certifications throughout the duration of the assignment.
