e-Learning Specialists
UOnline is looking for an Instructional Designer to join a collaborative team that designs and develops high-quality online courses for the University's growing online portfolio. This is work that matters: you'll be a direct partner to faculty, helping them translate their expertise into learning experiences that actually work for students.
The right person for this role combines a solid grounding in instructional design theory with practical experience building online courses. You're equally comfortable consulting with a subject matter expert on pedagogy and rolling up your sleeves to produce instructional content. You care about accessibility, you think carefully about assessment, and you take quality seriously without losing sight of what faculty and learners actually need.

Responsibilities
e-Learning Specialist, III

Course Design and Development
Partner with faculty and subject matter experts to design engaging online courses aligned with learning outcomes
Develop instructional materials including modules, assessments, and learning activities
Apply best practices in online pedagogy, accessibility, and universal design for learning
Review and revise existing courses to improve organization, alignment, accessibility, and learner experience
Collaboration and Project Management
Coordinate course production with video and quality assurance teams to meet launch deadlines
Maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, and program stakeholders
Support project planning and timeline management across multiple concurrent projects
Communicate proactively when errors or issues arise during course production
Technology and Continuous Improvement
Integrate appropriate learning technologies to strengthen engagement, accessibility, and instructional effectiveness
Conduct needs assessments to evaluate and confirm learning objectives
Develop training materials, knowledge base articles, and user support resources for faculty and staff
Perform preliminary quality assurance reviews on course content and production
