Job description

Job Description:
Outside Parts Salesperson
Geis Dealer Group

Pay: Base Salary + Monthly Commission
Typical Earnings: $65,000 – $90,000+
Top Performers: $100,000+
About the Role:
Geis Dealer Group is looking for a driven Outside Parts Salesperson to grow our parts and service business in the field.
This is not an order-taking role — we’re looking for someone who can build relationships, find new business, and stay in front of customers.
You’ll represent Peterbilt trucks, Utility Trailers, TRP Parts, Clement Trailers, Trailstar Trailers, and Capacity Trucks, backed by a full-service dealership with strong parts inventory, mobile service, and shop support. If you’re willing to work your territory and consistently look for opportunities, there is real income potential here.
What You’ll Do:
  • Travel your assigned territory making regular sales calls.
  • Call on trucking companies, fleets, municipalities, leasing companies, and repair shops.
  • Grow existing accounts while developing new business weekly.
  • Sell both parts and service — not just one or the other.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Generate quotes consistently and look for every opportunity.
  • Stay aware of market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Work closely with inside sales and service teams to support customers.
  • Assist with parts issues, returns, and warranty situations when needed.
  • Forward equipment leads (Peterbilt, Utility, Clement, Trailstar, Capacity) to the appropriate team.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities.

What We Expect:
  • Self-motivated and driven — this role requires initiative.
  • Comfortable prospecting and asking for new business.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage a territory and stay organized.
  • Willingness to be in front of customers consistently.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of heavy-duty trucking or related industry experience
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Understanding of diesel engines, air brake systems, transmissions, axles, and driveline components
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • We strongly prefer candidates with class 7 and 8 truck and trailer experience

Why Geis Dealer Group:
  • Represent industry-leading brands: Peterbilt, TRP Parts, Utility, Clement, Trailstar, and Capacity.
  • Full-service dealership: parts, service, mobile repair, and equipment sales.
  • Strong inventory — you can actually take care of your customers.
  • Ability to sell across multiple product lines (parts + service + equipment).
  • You’re not walking in cold — you’ll have existing accounts plus the expectation to grow.
  • Team environment with real internal support.
  • Ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Benefits:
Geis Dealer Group offers a competitive benefits package with more than 10 health insurance plan options, including comprehensive family healthcare coverage and support programs, allowing employees to choose the plan that best fits their needs.
  • Competitive salary and performance-based earning potential.
  • Health Insurance.
  • HSA and FSA options.
  • 401(k) with employer contribution.
  • Dental and Vision Insurance.
  • Paid Time Off.
  • Paid Training and Opportunities for Advancement.

At Geis Dealer Group, we uphold a strong equal opportunity and DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) policy—ensuring that all recruitment, hiring, promotion, and workplace decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status or any other legally protected characteristic.
Job Types: Full-time, Commission

Benefits:
  • 401(k).
  • Dental insurance.
  • Flexible spending account.
  • Health insurance.
  • Health savings account.
  • Paid training.
  • Vision insurance.

Compensation Package:
  • Commission pay
Work Location: On the road
