What is aluminium casting?

Aluminium casting is a manufacturing process in which molten aluminium is poured into a mold to create objects of a desired shape. This process is commonly used to produce components for the automotive, aerospace, and construction industries due to aluminium's lightweight and durable properties. There are several methods of aluminium casting, including sand casting, die casting, and investment casting, each suited for different applications and production volumes. Aluminium castings are valued for their strength, corrosion resistance, and the ability to produce complex shapes with high precision.

What is the difference between Aluminium Casting vs Aluminium Fabrication?

AspectAluminium CastingAluminium Fabrication
Primary ProcessPouring molten aluminium into molds to create partsCutting, welding, and assembling aluminium components
Work EnvironmentFoundries, casting plantsWorkshops, manufacturing facilities
