Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager with a background in providing consulting services and North American electricity markets. In this role you will work closely with senior leadership to support our growth strategy and provide subject matter expertise both internally through coaching and developing staff as well as externally to our clients. You will support the delivery of projects, organize the work and manage client interaction.

How you can make an impact:

Management and Operations Duties:

  • Lead the Energy Market Analysis team fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Support team principals and individual contributors in forecasting studies, modeling, analysis and automation etc.
  • Take responsibility for the team’s timely completion of a portfolio of projects while meeting project quality and budget objectives
  • Provide guidance, knowledge, and experience to team performing Production Cost Modeling (PCM) market forecasts, simulations and analyses
  • Provide guidance, knowledge, and experience to team performing financial, commercial, and engineering due diligence, including assessments of project operations, siting and connection, market revenues, and contract provisions.
  • Develop team resource utilization and revenue forecasting to keep the team on track to meet billable hour and revenue targets and ensure effective hiring/resource management
  • Promote process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency
  • Maintain EPE’s high client satisfaction

Business Development Duties:

  • Support responses to RFPs and development of Scopes of Work
  • Collaborate teams across EPE to strategize on common projects, market trends, regulatory changes, and new service opportunities.
  • Participate and coordinate industry involvement through conferences, speaking opportunities, and engagements
  • Develop and maintain key relationships, including clients, industry organizations, and regulatory bodies.

Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the consulting industry, with expertise in electricity markets and analysis.
  • Significant experience in market modeling and simulation through security constraint economic dispatch tools like PROMOD, PLEXOS, UPLAN.
  • Significant experience in addressing strategic, economic and regulatory issues in the energy sector.
  • Strong background in market optimization and market structures (PJM, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, CAISO, IESO, AESO).
  • Some experience in financial modeling, analysis, and contracting.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation
  • Excellent communication skills and technological aptitude.
