Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Juno Beach, FL that is seeking a PV Commissioning Manager.
Summary:
As a Commissioning Manager in RCO Solar, you will work with one of the world's largest photovoltaic utility system developers. Your key responsibilities will include conducting performance analytics of PV power plant systems, such as inverters, trackers, substations, and control systems (SCADA). Additional roles involve ISO/GIA/PPA testing and coordinating energy forecasting during the startup of large PV systems. You will act as the Owner's representative, overseeing PV system compliance, status reporting, startup, commissioning, and testing. You will also manage and report on commissioning work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.
Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare projects for PPA, GIA, and ISO testing
* Manage test energy forecasts and AVR/Anotifications with customers, the control center, and relevant external parties
* Support IT & SCADA Teams with functional checks
* Develop a commissioning schedule based on mechanical completion with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project Manager
* Verify SCADA HMI functionality and accuracy with SCADA Integrator and Commissioning Manager
* Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD
* Review performance data for deficiencies
REQUIREMENTS:
* Engineering degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience involving utility solar power systems
* Knowledge of utility-scale photovoltaic commissioning
* Familiarity with utility-scale photovoltaic components (PV modules, combiners, inverters, transformers, met stations, substations)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365
* Effective communication skills with third parties and executives
* Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities
Preferred Background:
* Professional or graduate-level academic experience in utility PV systems
* Prior experience with SCADA systems of industrial plants/processes
* 1-3 years of experience working with electrical grid participants such as Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators, and Balancing Authorities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
