ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager to join our Emerging Companies practice at Anchin. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in public accounting who is passionate about working with early-stage and high-growth companies. As a Manager, you will oversee engagements, lead teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating the complex and fast-paced startup environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability for emerging company clients in industries ranging from technology, food & beverage, health & beauty, professional services, and other high-growth industries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Possess strong business acumen to understand the needs and challenges of growth stage businesses and owners, and provide tailored services.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for clients which includes corporations, partnerships and personal income tax filings.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations affecting emerging companies.
  • Conduct research to address complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding services and growing the client base within the emerging companies group.
  • Understand your clients, their goals and objectives, the emerging companies' industry, and trends that will impact them, while applying the knowledge when directing the teams in the delivery of service to our clients.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of professionals within the emerging companies group while providing training and support to ensure the team's professional growth and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance within the emerging companies group.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, EA or Law License required.

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in tax, with a focus on the Emerging Companies' core industries.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation:
  • Competitive annual salary in the range of $130,000 - $185,000, based on individual's experience level.
