Schedules Available: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday - Wednesdayย 

Momentumย is hiring aย Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) - Floaterย to provide support to adults with disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional I (DSP I), you will be responsible for the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) that will lead to or continue to promote independence and personal skills, well assisting in providing a safe and secure home environment for persons supported in Momentum's Independent and Community Living Services program.

DSP I - Floater Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides assistance with daily living skills in accordance with the persons supported schedule and Individual Service Plan (ISP)
  • Assists with daily needs/tasks within persons supported homeย 
  • Prompts and provides assistance with medication management, as needed
  • Assists persons supported in all aspects of personal care, including hygiene
  • Assists persons supported in weight bearing and non-weight bearing transfers, as needed
  • Complies with all Momentum policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet departments and/or business needs

DSP I - Floater Qualifications:ย 

  • Must be 18 years of age or olderย 
  • Valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California; requiredย 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; requiredย 
  • Must have reliable phone/access to phone (monthly stipend)
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with people with developmental and/or other disabilities; preferredย ย 
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English
  • Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and transfer individualsย 
  • Use of personal vehicle for assignments throughout service areas not normally assigned; highly preferredย 
  • Must be available to travel throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties, as needed (mileage reimbursed)
