About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager/Director to lead our accounting operations, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and drive excellence in financial reporting and team performance. This is a strategic leadership role focused on accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with professional accounting standards.
Work Location: Up to 4 days on-site Greater Canton Area, OH
Duration: 3-4 months
Pay Rate Range: $75/hr-$85/hr
What You Will Work On
  • Oversee the entire month-end close process, including entity consolidations, corporate entries, and preparation of the monthly trial balance.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial results aligned with US GAAP.
  • Interpret and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results for accuracy.
  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
  • Approve financial statements, account reconciliations (at least quarterly), and fluctuation explanations to maintain data integrity.
  • Coordinate and manage external audit activities, ensuring successful and timely completion of annual financial audits.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team that supports evolving business needs.
  • Coach and develop team members for engagement and professional growth.
  • Align and allocate resources to effectively resolve issues and capitalize on organizational opportunities.

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership responsibilities
  • Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to develop and lead teams
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to manage complex financial environments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and dynamic business environment.
  • Knowledge of specialized tools is a plus but not required (Microsoft D365, Basware, deFacto, Blackline, Lease Controller)
