Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: 6315 Bren Mar Drive, Alexandria, VA 22312

Summary: This program supports a centralized operations center that serves as the primary information and coordination hub for customers nationwide. The center maintains continuous situational awareness of operational activities, incidents, significant events, and natural disasters affecting customer facilities and operations. It integrates information from regional operations, dispatch centers, partner agencies, intelligence units, and proprietary systems to produce consolidated reports, briefings, bulletins, and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.

The program also supports virtual emergency operations centers for national-level activities and provides surge capabilities for incident management teams during field deployments. A maintained Common Operating Picture ensures a shared, real-time understanding of operational conditions. Operating in both classified and unclassified environments, the project emphasizes timely information sharing, executive-level reporting, coordinated communication, and strong records management practices to support leadership decision-making and interagency collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should develop or apply mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information
  • The candidate may specialize in fields such as biostatistics, agricultural statistics, business statistics, or economic statistics
  • The candidate should perform duties inclusive of mathematical and survey statisticians
  • The candidate should conduct activities related to knowledge management processes, to include, but not limited to, content analysis, document management, data capture, portals, shared storage locations, workflow, collaboration, data warehousing, decision support, and information dissemination;
  • The candidate should support planning to encompass the strategy, architecture and methodology for an enterprise modernization effort; the candidate should support selection, implementation, and measurement of packaged solutions for enterprise modernization; the candidate should ensure complete integration of applications with target data and defined processes
  • The candidate should support development and implementation of the policies, processes, and platforms enhancing effective information sharing and information access across Incident Command and Incident Commander (IC) for hostage recovery, detainee affairs, and other portfolios, as needed
  • The candidate should identify mission-critical information sharing and information access requirements for stakeholders and should propose technical solutions to address
  • The candidate should design, construct, and populate internal repositories for relevant analytic, policy, program, background, and legislative information associated with Prevention and Security (P and S) portfolios
  • The candidate should provide knowledge management and content support to existing information portals
  • The candidate should maintain databases
  • The candidate should have experienced working with Power BI and Tableau
  • The candidate should conduct database mining in response to Requests for Information (RFIs) and should perform limited analysis of data pulled from various Federal Protective Service (FPS) databases
  • The candidate should prepare executive-level reports and products, to include Senior Leader Briefs, In Response to Your Question (IRTYQ) memoranda, talking points, and other such documents, as directed by the Senior Watch Officer (SWO)
