Job description

Job Title: Data Analyst

Who we are

Iapetus Infrastructure oversees a portfolio of specialized field services companies, operating under one IIS umbrella. At IIS, our strength lies in the connective tissue that ties our operating companies together and allows us to best serve our clients. We are a team of thinkers, problem solvers, and industry experts who collectively deliver the right solution for our clients.

Who you are

You appreciate the client relationship and understand that delivering an excellent experience to the client is critical to success.  You enjoy problem solving and are able to think and react quickly; you have a keen eye for detail and are able to multi-task; and able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.  You are self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision; you practice good time management, and you consistently take the initiative to get things done; and take action on matters before being asked by others or forced by event. You are naturally curious, malleable in your approach, and don’t mind if every day looks a little different. You have appreciation for attention to detail, you’re a team player and work towards achieving common goals for the client. You’re honest and respectful in your communication style and when things go astray, you understand that it’s an opportunity to learn, take accountability and create a path forward.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our consulting projects and operational functions. This role will focus on developing and managing work management solutions and creating insightful PowerBI dashboards. The successful candidate will analyze data sets, design efficient workflows, and deliver actionable insights to enhance decision-making processes across our organization. This is an in-office role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support consulting projects and operational objectives.
  • Design, build, and optimize workflows to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting processes.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain interactive dashboards in PowerBI to visualize key performance metrics and project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including consultants, project managers, and field operations, to gather requirements and ensure data solutions align with business needs.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data by implementing best practices in data management and quality assurance.
  • Provide technical expertise in work management solutions, integrating data from various sources to create seamless operational workflows.
  • Deliver reports and presentations to stakeholders, explaining complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of data-driven operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data analysis, visualization, and workflow automation.
  •

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, workflow optimization, and dashboard creation.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Strong skills in SQL for querying and managing data from relational databases.
  • Experience with workflow management tools and platforms (e.g., Fulcrum, FastField, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with utility or infrastructure-related data is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data analysis.
  • Experience with GIS tools and spatial data analysis.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful consulting projects with cross-industry exposure.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities.
