Job description

Responsibilities:

Our Huntersville location is seeking a 1st shift Crew Leader to join our organization. The Crew Leader will be responsible for leading a team of associates to achieve daily goals to include - production, loading, shipping, and general field work throughout the greenhouse. In the absence of the area manager, the Crew Leader may assume full responsibility for assigned area.

  • Supervise, direct, and assist crew with production goals
  • Conduct daily Crew Leader meetings to provide clear and frequent communication to team members on company policies, procedures, and safety related issues
  • Ensure safety policies are followed and make recommendations for improvements
  • Resolve any/all crew related issues (ex: attendance, performance, behavioral, etc.) and initiate corrective action as needed
  • Train and motivate team members to reach daily production plans and annual company goals
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum 1-year experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse environment
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to give/receive constructive feedback
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work and communicate across multiple departments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and seek solutions to problems
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
  • Experience in Horticulture/ Agriculture a plus


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift-up to 30lbs above head unassisted regularly
