Job description

Seasonal Crew Member (Part-Time - Up to 40+ Hours in Peak Season)

JR's Landscape Services is seeking motivated Seasonal Crew Members to assist our full-time teams in delivering high-quality landscape maintenance and enhancement services. This is a part-time position that may require 40+ hours per week during our busy season.


Position Overview

Seasonal Crew Members work alongside Team Leaders and Crew Members to help our clients smile by maintaining and enhancing beautiful residential and commercial landscapes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork, and is eager to learn and grow in the horticulture industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with landscape maintenance and enhancements, including pruning and Plant Health Care
  • Follow service plans to ensure efficient, high-quality work
  • Safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge shears, and other power tools
  • Assist with vehicle and equipment care, including daily clean-up, fueling, and basic maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Identify landscape issues and communicate them to team leadership
  • Participate in company training opportunities

Qualifications

  • Passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Ability to lift 25-50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, walking, kneeling, lifting)
  • Valid Illinois driver's license required
  • Landscaping or related experience is helpful but not required

Work Environment

Work is performed outdoors at residential and commercial properties in varying weather conditions. Team members should be comfortable working near moving equipment and traffic areas.
