Job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent to oversee industrial Piping and Steel work. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with mining or pipeline construction management. This role involves coordinating teams, managing schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining quality standards across multiple projects. The Superintendent will play a critical role in delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget while adhering to all safety and quality regulations. Interstate travel ability is a must, as current projects are in the Mountains of WY, MT, CO, ID, and in Yellowstone National Park.
Pay: $80,000-$100,000/year DOE.
Schedule: 10 hour shifts, M-F with occasional 12 hour shifts or weekend work as jobs require.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors on-site to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols such as MSHA standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution.
  • Ensure quality control by inspecting work for compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor progress and manage resource allocation effectively.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to communicate progress, address issues, and update stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work activities, change orders, contracts, and safety records.
  • Enforce safety policies and conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising mining or pipeline/industrial construction sites.
  • Ability to TRAVEL to various states, as job locations dictate. (Most often NV, ID, WY, MT, CO).
  • Strong understanding of MSHA regulations and safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Excellent management and supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with pipeline, mining projects, or heavy civil construction is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving history required.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in construction operations, project management or related role.
  • Background in industrial and/or mining construction preferred.
  • Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Work Environment – Frequently exposed to typical construction site conditions, including dust and loud noise, and all weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to operate a vehicle to travel to and from work sites.
  • May be required to work for extended periods in different states.
