WAGE RANGE (NON -EXEMPT): $23 - $26/ hour

REPORTS TO: Coffee Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The material Handler / ERP (Aptean) Super User plays a key role in keeping coffee operations running efficiently and accurately. This position is responsible for handline green coffee, roasted coffee, and flavoring, while maintaining real-time accuracy in the Aptean ERP system. The role serves as both a hands-on material handler and the site expert for Aptean processes, ensuring green coffee loading, roasting, grinding, and flavoring teams follow correct system workflows for inventory movement, consumption and outputs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Material Handling
  • Utilize a forklift and reach lift to transport materials efficiently and safely across the warehouse.
  • Maintain a First-In/First-Out system to guarantee that expiry requirements are met without any spoilage.
  • Support daily roasting, grinding and packaging schedules by ensuring materials are available and accurately tracked in Aptean.
  • Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts, reconciling differences between physical and system quantities.
ERP (Aptean) Super User Responsibilities
  • Serve as the go-to resource for Aptean transactions related to coffee production, roasting outputs, blend builds, packaging outputs, transfer and consumption.
  • Train and coach team members on proper ERP usage and reinforce accountability for system accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot data or transaction errors (missing outputs, incorrect inventory balances) and work with ERP/IT support teams to resolve.
  • Audit material movement and ensure all transactions are completed daily to maintain live system accuracy.
  • Partner with leads, supervisors, and planners to streamline workflows and eliminate manual or redundant processes.
  • Participate in system testing, updates, and process improvement projects tied to Aptean enhancements.
General
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks in and around storage areas daily, promoting cleanliness and organization.
  • Continuously strive to improve processes and refine methods of job performance, seeking out opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Uphold and deliver safe, high-quality, and consistent products and services that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our valued customers.
  • Adhere to the guidelines and requirements outlined in the General Safety Communication Program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Degree in supply chain, business or related field preferred
  • Experience in coffee roasting or food manufacturing preferred
  • Forklift, Reach Lift, Sit Down/Stand Up Lift Experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Aptean ERP or similar ERP such as SAP, Oracle, or Netsuite) required
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment required
KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Ensures all roasting, packaging, and material movements are captured accurately in Aptean.
  • Follows through on transaction and data integrity every shift.
  • Works effectively with roasters, packers, planners and quality teams.
  • Identifies and implements ways to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Supports a culture of accuracy and ownership through system training and feedback.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lift up to 50-75lbs occasionally

WORK ENVIROMENT AND EQUIPMENT:
  • This is a warehouse position inside a warm and dry facility.
  • This position requires work in a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust strong odors.
  • Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory.
WORK HABITS:
  • Regular attendance and promptness are required for this position.
  • Some work may be required outside of the normal work week.
