Job description

Job Description:

We're KSM, one of the top 50 largest independent advisory, tax, and audit firms in the United States. But more than our size, it's our people and culture that set us apart. We believe great things happen when people are supported, challenged, and given the freedom to do their very best work. That's why we've built a workplace where your career and personal life can thrive together - where you have the flexibility to manage your time, the resources to grow, and a team that genuinely cares about your success.

We've been employee-owned since 2001, giving every team member a stake in our collective success. This ownership mentality fosters a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and excellence - where new ideas are welcomed, different perspectives are valued, and you're encouraged to explore what excites you most. Whether you're expanding your skills, tackling new challenges, or making an impact beyond the office, we provide the resources and support to help you grow in the direction that's right for you.

At KSM, your contributions matter - not just to the firm, but to your colleagues, clients, and the communities we serve across the U.S. If you're looking for a place where you can do meaningful work, build lasting relationships, and grow in ways that align with what's most important to you, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support cloud infrastructure solutions, including provisioning AWS-based environments, configuring resources (such as VPCs, IAM roles, EC2, Lambda, and S3), and supporting changes across development, test, and production environments.
  • Build, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure components (compute, networking, storage, and security configurations) following established architectural standards.
  • Deploy and operate infrastructure supporting microservices and serverless workloads, helping ensure services run reliably and perform well under expected load.
  • Implement and test disaster recovery and business continuity procedures, including backup configurations, failover runbooks, and recovery validation.
  • Write and maintain Terraform (or equivalent IaC) modules and configurations to automate provisioning and reduce manual changes to cloud resources.
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines used by InfraOps and DevOp teams, troubleshooting failures and contributing to automation improvements and cloud resource optimization.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure health, respond to alerts, perform root cause analysis, and remediate operational issues across compute, networking, and storage layers.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure Architects to translate architectural direction into production-ready implementations, and provide implementation-level feedback on feasibility, performance, and operational impact.
  • Maintain the reliability and performance of assigned cloud infrastructure components and services through proactive monitoring, tuning, and remediation.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and configuration records for the systems you operate.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cloud computing.
  • Experience with AWS is strongly preferred; familiarity with another cloud platform (Azure or GCP) is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting or contributing to cloud infrastructure initiatives, including implementing solutions within defined architectural or operational frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with architectural designs.
  • Working knowledge of microservices architectures and serverless technologies, with experience deploying and operating these workloads on AWS.
  • Experience implementing and testing disaster recovery and business continuity procedures within cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in using Terraform or similar infrastructure as code (IaC) tools for automating cloud infrastructure tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with InfraOps and DevOps methodologies, with a clear understanding of how to support both operational and development environments effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with a practical approach to implementing cloud solutions that address business challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring and observability tooling (such as CloudWatch or equivalent), including configuring metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Proficiency scripting in Python, Bash, or a similar language to support automation and operational tasks.

We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, veteran status, or any other protected category.

KSM only accepts resumes directly submitted by a candidate and referrals submitted by current KSM employees. Unsolicited resumes or candidate profiles sent by staffing agencies and fee-based referral services will not be considered outside of a signed KSM vendor contract. KSM will not pay a fee to recruiters or agencies that do not have a signed KSM vendor contract.
