Soul Restore Counseling Center is searching for a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about providing trauma-informed care. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary duties will include:

• Delivering trauma-informed counseling tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families facing mental health challenges.
• Incorporating Christian principles into therapy sessions for clients seeking faith-based guidance and support.
• Developing and executing individualized treatment plans that align with client goals and aspirations.
• Providing counseling services to clients referred from local churches, establishing meaningful community connections.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives to build a robust client base and expand referral networks.
• Working closely with clinicians, social workers, and community organizations to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Maintaining accurate and timely client records and completing progress notes using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Engaging in open communication with the center director regarding scheduling, client progress, and workload management.

Our ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. With a Christian framework, counselors will guide clients through their healing journeys, respecting each individual's beliefs and values while offering support and practical coping strategies.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field.
• A current, independently licensed professional credential (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) in Washington, DC.
• A strong understanding of Biblical counseling principles and techniques.

Candidates will also be evaluated based on the following preferred qualifications:

• At least one year of trauma counseling experience.
• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland, which is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with EMDR therapy, with a willingness to complete EMDR basic training within three months of hire.
• Extensive knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, demonstrating the ability to adapt techniques to meet diverse client needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, contributing to effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling, emphasizing client confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
