Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering trauma-informed counseling services tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, and families, employing various therapeutic modalities.
• Developing comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aimed at achieving their specific mental health goals.
• Incorporating Christian counseling principles into sessions, facilitating a spiritual component for clients who desire a faith-based approach.
• Providing counseling services to clients assigned from local churches, fostering connections and trust within the community.
• Actively engaging in community outreach to build your caseload and establish new referral sources, demonstrating your dedication to expanding our center's impact.
• Maintaining meticulous client records and ensuring that progress notes are entered into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system promptly.
• Communicating openly with the center director regarding scheduling, client progress, and any potential challenges you may encounter in your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele reflects the rich demographics of Spokane, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and age groups. You will have the opportunity to work with clients experiencing a broad spectrum of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics. Your compassionate and empathetic approach will be vital in fostering trust and facilitating effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field is required.
• A strong understanding of Biblical counseling techniques, as well as a thorough knowledge of the Bible.
• Independently licensed as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, with dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland highly desirable.
• Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) or willing to complete basic training within three months of hire.
• A comprehensive understanding of diverse therapeutic modalities and interventions such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with a diverse client base.
• A commitment to confidentiality and the ethical practice of counseling.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of trauma counseling experience is required, candidates with additional experience in Christian counseling or specialized therapeutic methods will be viewed favorably. Knowledge of the Spokane community and its resources can further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000 per year, recognizing your expertise and contributions. Benefits include:
