Job Summary:
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Windows & Linux Administrator with 15+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux administration, security hardening, patch management, backup & recovery, virtualization, monitoring, authentication systems, and production support for mission-critical environments.
Must-Have Screening Questions:
  1. How do you troubleshoot a Linux server experiencing high CPU utilization?
  2. Explain your approach to Windows Server patch management in a production environment.
  3. How do you troubleshoot Kerberos authentication failures?
  4. What steps do you follow to validate backup and disaster recovery readiness?
  5. Describe your experience with VMware snapshots and recovery scenarios.
  6. How do you identify and remediate security vulnerabilities on Windows and Linux servers?

  • Manage Antivirus/EDR platforms.
  • Maintain certificates and resolve vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies.
Monitoring & Performance:
  • Monitor CPU, memory, storage, and application performance.
  • Analyze logs and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Configure monitoring and alerting tools.
Network & Authentication:
  • Troubleshoot firewall, port, and connectivity issues.
  • Resolve AD, LDAP, and Kerberos authentication problems.
  • Support identity and access management integrations.
Incident Management:
  • Provide L2/L3 production support.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Resolve application compatibility and runtime issues.
  • Implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
Required Experience:
  • 15+ years of Windows & Linux Administration.
  • Strong expertise in RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Windows Server.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware/Hyper-V.
  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
Preferred:
  • Enterprise Monitoring Tools
  • Vulnerability Management Tools
  • Automation/Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
  • ITIL / Change Management Experience
