GATE Hospitality Group is looking for an Information Technology Manager that can provide hands-on management of a small team of technology professionals. Successful candidates must demonstrate leadership skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining outstanding customer service. The Information Technology Manager is responsible for prioritizing technical support requests, coordinating IT staff, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of technology systems across multiple properties.
EDUCATION: Ability to read, write, speak, follow and give written and/or oral directions in English; High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ Years of IT management work experience
  • 5+ Years of technical experience in a Windows based environment with 250+ users
  • 5+ Years of technical experience with server and network administration and troubleshooting
  • Valid Driver's License

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good overall knowledge of programming concepts, software development cycles, and associated tools and platforms. Knowledge of applicable IT laws, policies and regulations. Advanced overall knowledge of networking, operating systems and server architectures.
JOB SUMMARY: The IT Manager will coordinate all technical activities for the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, The Lodge & Club, Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club, and the River Club. They will also support a variety of technical functions such as structured cabling, phone system changes, workstation troubleshooting and imaging, server deployments and upgrades, firewall and network switch administration, as well as application support. The role entails providing a high level of IT support services to guests and staff as well as 24 hour coverage of the computer systems, either on site or remotely depending on business needs.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to work in varying weather conditions. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and move from property to property. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
  1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
  2. Must arrive to work on time, consistently.
  3. Maintain a proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.
  4. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
  5. Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.
  6. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
  7. Keep current with new ideas and trends.
  8. Employ, train, supervise, and recommend salary levels and terminate all department personnel.
  9. Execute the general responsibilities common to all Club management personnel in minimizing the costs of unit operations and in safe guarding the property and reputation of the Club.
  10. Staff performance appraisals done on a timely and consistent basis.
  11. Administration and monitoring of all technical equipment and systems.
  12. Planning and implementation of maintenance and upgrades to equipment, operating systems, firewalls, anti-virus protection and other general systems and applications necessary to the efficient support of the business applications.
  13. Development and Maintenance of system documentation including network diagrams, inventory records, and operating procedures.
  14. Monitoring backup systems to assure that all systems and data are appropriately protected and that disaster recovery data and procedures will be available when needed.
  15. Responding to work tickets for system tasks in accordance with established SLA standards.
  16. Configuration and deployment of new servers, end user equipment, and networking equipment.
  17. Proactive maintenance of service pack and patch status on all servers and workstations.
  18. Supporting and enforcing security policies.
  19. Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing and new applications by creating, maintaining and enforcing standards and procedures (including SOPs) for implementing technical solutions.
  20. Applying technical expertise in the following areas to support of the hotel systems:
  • Server operating systems, as well as features and roles.
  • Workstation operating systems.
  • Routing, switching, wireless, and firewalls.
  • Office 365
  1. Manage all licensing. Microsoft as well as application licensing.
  2. Expertise in the following platforms desirable: Avaya Communications Manager, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba, VMware, Nutanix, Barracuda, Veeam
  3. Attend general staff meetings, communicating with the other departments about current activities.
  4. Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Controller or General Manager.
