What is an administration manager?
An administration manager is a middle-management officer who oversees the daily operations of a business or organization. As an administration manager, you perform numerous administrative and support duties for staff and management. Depending on the specifics of your job, your responsibilities may include hiring and training new employees, handling yearly budgets or cost-cutting measures, and maintaining the office by ordering supplies and ensuring equipment functions properly.

What is the difference between Manager Administration vs Office Manager?
| Aspect | Manager Administration | Office Manager |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Role | Oversees administrative functions, manages policies, and supports executive leadership | Manages daily office operations, coordinates administrative staff, and ensures smooth office workflow |
| Required Credentials | Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or related field; experience in management roles | High school diploma or equivalent; experience in office administration preferred |
| Work Environment | Corporate offices, administrative departments | Office settings, administrative support areas |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Common in large organizations, corporations, government agencies | Common in small to medium-sized businesses, nonprofits, and corporate offices |

Fellows will have exposure to the executive team through mentorship, project work, and meetings. The fellowship consists of core rotations in areas such as Administration, Clinical Operations, Finance, Quality, and Human Resources. Fellows will spend time shadowing and working on projects with key leaders in each of the rotations to gain perspective on day-to-day operations and decisions faced by healthcare leaders.
