Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role can be located in our Knoxville, TN facility.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAPEX & Indirect Buyer to support procurement activities for a fast-paced aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing capital equipment purchases and indirect spend categories including machines, facilities, tooling, IT, professional services, and manufacturing support equipment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong supplier management skills, experience with regulated manufacturing environments, and the ability to drive cost savings while ensuring quality, delivery, and compliance requirements are met.
What You'll Do...
  • Lead sourcing and procurement activities for capital expenditures (CAPEX) and indirect materials/services
  • Manage RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, bid analysis, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Procure manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation systems, facilities-related services, and indirect operational supplies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Quality, Finance, and Program Management teams to support business objectives
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, service agreements, and long-term supply arrangements
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure performance in quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness
  • Support capital project planning and procurement execution for facility expansions, production line improvements, and equipment upgrades
  • Identify and execute cost reduction, process improvement, and supply chain risk mitigation initiatives
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and sourcing documentation within ERP/MRP systems
  • Support audits and documentation requirements related to AS9100, ISO standards, and government contracting compliance.

You have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries
  • Experience sourcing CAPEX equipment and indirect spend categories
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Ability to read and interpret statements of work, and equipment specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement analytics
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issues security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
