AUTO SERVICE MANAGER six figure +job
Location: Newburgh NY

POSSIBLE RELOCATION ASSISTANCE TO BEAUTIFUL ORANGE COUNTY, NY

We have been hired by a dynamic, well-established automotive dealership in the Tri-State area ...they are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead the daily operations of their service department. The ideal candidate has dealership experience, preferably with Chevrolet, General Motors, or Buick, BUT WILL CONSIDER OTHER BRANDS...SHOULD BE a hands-on leader who drives efficiency, customer satisfaction, and team development.

Job Type: Full-time | In-person

Schedule:
Day shift (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
Monday to Friday, occasional weekends as needed
10-hour shift

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of automotive service management experience in a dealership.
  • Strong process focus, communication, and customer rapport skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management ability.
  • Solid understanding of automotive service, repair, diagnostics, and warranty processes.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and related software.
  • Comfortable with numbers, data-driven decisions, and process ownership.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the service department to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
  • Lead, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Monitor department performance, including productivity, profitability, and customer service metrics; implement improvements.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for optimal operations.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Manage department financials—budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
