HVAC Technician / Maintenance Technician

Apartment • Commercial • Hotel Properties Multiple Locations Throughout Mankato, MN

Pay: $30.00 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time

Join Our Team

We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to support apartment communities, commercial properties, and hotel operations throughout the Mankato area. This position is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys a variety of work environments and takes pride in delivering quality service.

In addition to HVAC responsibilities, this role will assist with general building maintenance and repairs to help ensure our properties remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

HVAC Duties

· Diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

· Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.

· Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.

· Replace filters, belts, motors, thermostats, and other HVAC components.

· Monitor and maintain rooftop units, boilers, furnaces, and air handlers.

· Respond to HVAC service requests and emergency calls as needed.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

General Maintenance Duties

· Perform routine building maintenance and repairs.

· Complete work orders in apartments, commercial spaces, and hotel guest rooms.

· Repair plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, drywall, flooring, and lighting.

· Assist with unit turnovers and property inspections.

· Support seasonal maintenance tasks including snow removal and grounds upkeep.

· Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of HVAC service and repair experience.

· High school diploma or GED.

· Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

· Ability to lift 75 pounds and work from ladders, rooftops, and confined spaces.

· Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Required Certifications

· EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.

· HVAC/R Technical Degree, Diploma, or Equivalent Field Experience.

Preferred Certifications

· NATE Certification.

· OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.

· HVAC Controls Experience.

· Pool Operator Certification (CPO).
