Job description

Position Overview:

Victory Lane Quick Oil Change is a full-service lubrication, fluid, and automotive preventative maintenance center. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring that team members are following company policies and procedures, which are designed to enable efficient oil changes and delightful customer interactions. In addition to overseeing the store in the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager sets an example as a leader, focusing on the career development of teammates, and providing consistent guidance and direction. It is our mission to service every customer with a smile, which is why managing the customer experience is the Assistant Store Manager’s top priority.

Responsibilities:

Team Development: The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for managing a team and maintaining a positive culture. The Assistant Store Manager will be trained by the Store Manager on roles and responsibilities, and will be intentional in assisting to develop all team members by training employees according to the franchise's best practices.

Inspection: The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for inspecting the premises at frequent intervals to evaluate the store's compliance with company policies and procedures. The Assistant Store Manager will inspect facility appearance, both inside and outside the building, inspect equipment condition, and verify inventory accuracy and organization, among other items. Results from inspections will be documented and reviewed with the Store Manager to help provide a continuous feedback loop for improvement at the store locations.

General Management: The Assistant Store Manager will assist in preparing the employee work schedules, assigning work rotations and positions, may conduct and/or train on opening and closing procedures, oversee the cleaning of facilities, maintenance, and overall upkeep, and supervise the team in all business operations.

Reporting: The Assistant Store Manager may assist in completing daily financial paperwork, maintaining accurate inventory, and managing employee files. The Assistant Store Manager will also be highly involved in identifying areas of opportunity for increased store performance and designing and implementing initiatives after receiving approval from management.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Minimum of 1 years of retail management experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Motivated, energetic, and customer-focused
  • Comfortable and confident in a leadership position and willing to lead by example
  • Desire to learn and go above and beyond the bare minimum
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds

· Requires climbing stairs to get in and out of the pit for oil changes

  • While on the job, employees must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc for extended periods of time
