Part Time
Bradenton, FL (Manatee Ave W)

Position Summary: The duties of this position are to be performed while demonstrating all of Crowder Bros. core values and while providing legendary customer service to its guests. The Gifts Associate is responsible for assisting with the operation of the gift shop area including sales, cashiering, merchandising, inventory, pricing, and store cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides legendary customer service to every customer, every time by creating a positive, professional and pleasant shopping and working environment

Performs computerized cash register sales transactions and cash handling including the efficient expedition of all transactions, and the proper control and handling of all financial transactions

Performs direct sales including online and special orders

Assists with ordering, merchandise receiving, customer returns by verifying invoices and billing and resolves errors and discrepancies

Performs customer gift wrapping, shipping and/or merchandise delivery activities

Helps to maintain accurate inventory counts and quantities, performs visual merchandising activities; and, participates in the development and implementation of on-floor sales promotions

Assists with the implementation of seasonal merchandise displays and decorating

Utilizes exceptional food handling and general housekeeping skills to ensure gift shop cleanliness

Ensures that equipment and facilities remain clean, orderly and in good repair so that employee and customer safety standards are maintained; reports any repair or maintenance problems to management right away

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service that is consistently legendary

Ability to work with diverse customer base

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members

Strong organizational skills with a passion for details

Willing to learn other areas of the store, if needed, and to help train others

Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) desired

Minimum of 1 year prior retail experience or gift sales experience strongly desired

Minimum of 1 year of prior cashier experience strongly desired

Proven track record of being a team player and providing legendary customer service

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to reach, grasp, bend, climb, stoop frequently

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted or more than 40 pounds using a cart or with assistance

Ability to bend or stoop, kneel or crouch, reach overhead, pull and push,

Ability to work weekends, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment
