Position description
Southeastern Minnesota Multi-County Housing & Redevelopment Authority (SEMMCHRA) is seeking candidates for a full-time Maintenance Technician position based in Wananmingo, MN. This position will work under limited and technical supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, coordinate care, repairs, and maintenance of all HRA owned rental units and property assigned, including structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, and grounds. Recommends and implements changes in HRA's policies and practices as necessary to meet changing conditions or changes in Federal and State regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Additional Requirements include:
โ€ข Two (2) years of experience in maintenance or related field
โ€ข Must be a licensed and insured driver
โ€ข Ability to lift materials up to 100 pounds and able and willing to use ladder
โ€ข Boiler License Preferred but not required
Additional qualifications
โ€ข Knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, and materials.
โ€ข Ability to maintain tools, equipment and vehicles.
โ€ข Ability to work independently, set priorities and organize workload so that all HRA owned properties are kept in a decent, safe, sanitary and energy efficient condition.
โ€ข Must have the ability to interact on a professional level with individuals from diverse backgrounds and show sensitivity dealing with persons of all income levels

Education and experience may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
