Production Helper / Machine Operator

This role supports daily production by operating machines, assisting with general labor, and helping assemble metal parts. You’ll work hands‑on with equipment, tools, and welding processes to keep production running safely and on schedule.

Key Duties

• Operate production equipment including brake presses
• Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials
• Assemble parts using hand and power tools
• Support welding tasks as needed using your own welding helmet and tools
• Read basic blueprints or drawings
• Inspect parts for quality and accuracy
• Keep work areas clean and follow all safety and PPE requirements
• Work with team members to complete jobs on time
• Perform basic equipment checks and report issues

Required Skills

• Experience in production, manufacturing, or general labor
• Machine operation experience, including brake press
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Basic welding experience
• Ability to read blueprints or basic drawings
• Ability to lift and handle materials
• Strong focus on safety

Nice to Have

• Previous machine operator experience
• Metal fabrication knowledge
• Own welding helmet and basic welding tools
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment

Work Environment

• Work with brake presses, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Jeans, T‑shirt, and steel‑toed boots required
• PPE provided except welding helmet and tools

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
