FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Position Title: Fleet Maintenance Manager
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary
The Fleet Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance and repair operations for the paratransit fleet. This role oversees a team of mechanics, manages preventive maintenance schedules, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains safe, road-ready vehicles to support service delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Direct daily activities of mechanics and maintenance personnel.
โ€ข Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and road calls.
โ€ข Maintain accurate maintenance records compliant with FTA/MARTA standards.
โ€ข Manage inventory, parts ordering, and vendor relationships.
โ€ข Ensure shop safety, cleanliness, and equipment readiness.
โ€ข Train and evaluate maintenance staff.
โ€ข Support budgeting for materials, staffing, and equipment.
โ€ข Coordinate emergency maintenance support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข 5+ years of fleet maintenance or automotive operations experience.
โ€ข Supervisory experience in a maintenance shop.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of DOT, ADA, and paratransit vehicle requirements.
โ€ข Ability to manage preventive maintenance schedules and documentation.
โ€ข Excellent communication and leadership skills.
