Maintenance Team Lead - Pay Rate $22.00/hour

Lead the team that keeps the attraction running.

Looking for a hands-on support role where no two days are the same?

As a Maintenance Team Lead, you’ll help keep both SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium and Peppa Pig World of Play safe, running smoothly, and ready for guests every day. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys fixing things, staying active, and helping lead a small team in a fun, fast-paced environment.

This is not a desk job, you’ll be working hands-on alongside your team while helping guide daily operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Help lead and support a small Facilities team
  • Train and guide technicians throughout the day
  • Handle hands-on repairs and maintenance around the attraction
  • Troubleshoot issues involving lighting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general repairs
  • Complete painting, wall repair, equipment setup, and preventative maintenance
  • Help oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Support safety and operational standards across the attraction
  • Jump in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly

If something breaks, your team helps fix it and keep the guest experience going strong.

What We’re Looking For

You’d be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy hands-on work and problem-solving
  • Have maintenance, handyman, facilities, construction, or repair experience
  • Have some experience leading, training, or mentoring others
  • Can stay organized and productive in a busy environment
  • Are reliable, self-motivated, and team-focused
  • Like helping others learn and succeed

Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or facilities maintenance is a plus.
OSHA or trade certifications are helpful, but not required.
