Shalom Gardens Senior Living and Parkside Senior Living are seeking a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance operations and support the needs of both senior living communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, leading teams, and making a direct impact on the daily lives of our residents.

What You'll Do

As Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and physical plant operations of both communities, including:

  • Provide maintenance oversight and support for Shalom Gardens Senior Living and Parkside Senior Living

  • Maintain the buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems in a safe and operational condition

  • Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance and routine repairs

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and team members

  • Oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs

  • Conduct routine inspections of the buildings and grounds

  • Identify potential safety concerns and ensure timely corrective action

  • Maintain appropriate maintenance records, logs, and preventative maintenance schedules

  • Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors when necessary

  • Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory

  • Assist with budgeting and controlling maintenance-related expenses

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, fire, building, and regulatory requirements

  • Support emergency preparedness and respond to urgent maintenance needs as necessary

  • Maintain resident apartments and common areas to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment

  • Partner closely with community leadership to prioritize maintenance needs

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional resident service

What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Five (5) years of supervisory maintenance experience in a commercial, healthcare, senior living, or similar environment preferred

  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems

  • Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or long-term care is a plus

  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities across two senior living communities

  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to urgent maintenance situations

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between communities required
