Job Description:
The Maintenance Assistant performs maintenance and construction work around the facility. They maintain the grounds, parking lots and equipment. They perform cleaning tasks as needed in all areas, as well as paint, plaster and inspect equipment to make sure it is properly functioning.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant:
  • Work on the cooling, plumbing, gas, electrical, mechanical, oxygen and communication systems.
  • Perform carpentry duties as needed.
  • Paint, plaster and refinish items as needed.
  • Perform heavy duty cleaning.
  • Change screens and storm windows.
  • Inspect all equipment and systems regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Advise Maintenance Director of any repair needs concerning structure, equipement and grounds.
Requirements/Qualifications of the Maintenance Assistant:

  • Ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions
