Job description

Loan Operations Post Closer & Verification II

We're looking for a Loan Operations Post Closer & Verification II to join our Souderton-based team in a hybrid role, helping ensure loan documentation is accurate, complete, and handled with care from start to finish. Please note that after the initial training period, this position will transition to a hybrid schedule and may be based out of any of our regional offices, including Doylestown, Souderton, Allentown, King of Prussia, Lancaster, or Pittsburgh, PA, as well as Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Post-Closing Loan Management: Execute a variety of post-closing tasks for both commercial and consumer loans, adhering strictly to Univest lending policies and guidelines.
  • Document Analysis: When post-closing from our commercial queue, analyze loan documentation packages to identify required supporting documents and ensure all necessary items are obtained.
  • Document Tracking and Validation: Meticulously track the receipt of loan documents (both internally prepared and from external attorneys). Verify the completeness, accuracy, and originality of all documents received.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Identify loans subject to Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting requirements. Accurately enter necessary data into the system, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Document Imaging and Filing: Scan, identify, and correctly label executed loan documents, uploading them into Synergy Capture and/or nCino Salesforce. Import all supporting documentation from commercial synergy files into the appropriate systems. Verify accurate document uploads into Synergy for consumer lending, label, and file in the correct vault.
  • Compliance Adherence: Maintain a thorough understanding of and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Univest Code of Conduct and relevant sections of the Uniform Commercial Code.
  • Exception Resolution: Collaborate effectively with lenders and administrative assistants to efficiently resolve documentation discrepancies, scanning issues, and other post-closing exceptions.
  • Mail Processing and Document Review: Track incoming mail, meticulously review loan documents (both in-house and attorney-prepared) for completeness, accuracy, and authenticity. Address and resolve any identified discrepancies; respond to mail confirmation emails promptly.
  • Post-Close Queue Management: Monitor the department's email inbox, claim ownership of loans requiring post-closing action, and systematically process them. Efficiently transfer loan file documents between nCino and Synergy Capture, perform document capture and indexing, and upload documents into the Xperience system.
  • LQAS (Loan Quality Assurance System) Monitoring: Utilize LQAS to accurately input document requirements, financial covenants, and other critical loan details into the designated tracking system, based on approved loan terms and conditions.
  • Post-Closing Loan File Organization: Organize and maintain both consumer and commercial loan files according to established procedures, ensuring accurate naming, filing, and overall file integrity.
  • Mentorship and Training: Assist in the onboarding and ongoing development of Loan Operations Post Closer I team members, providing guidance on procedures and best practices.
  • Loan Verification: Conduct thorough verification of Consumer and Basic Commercial Loan documentation against the loan origination system and approved loan terms, identifying and resolving discrepancies, including complex or non-standard loan scenarios.
  • Project Support: Actively participate in various bank projects related to loan operations, contributing expertise and support to ensure successful implementation and alignment with departmental goals.
  • Escalation Point: Serve as a point of escalation for complex issues or exceptions encountered during the post-closing process, providing solutions and guidance to team members.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Educational Background: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial loan documentation, real estate lending concepts, and relevant terminology. Understanding of Univest lending policy guidelines is advantageous. Knowledge of consumer loans, including Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs) and other direct personal lending products.

Decision-Making Skills: Ability to identify commercial and real estate loan documents and make independent decisions that align with Univest's policies and guidelines, demonstrating accuracy and integrity.

Work Ethic: Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting. Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities under time constraints with minimal supervision.

Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Proficient in addressing challenges and capable of thinking creatively when faced with unusual situations.

Attention to Detail: Demonstrates a keen eye for detail, ensuring thoroughness and precision in all tasks.

Advanced PC and word processing: Utilize skills to operate various proprietary Windows-based software applications.

Software Knowledge: Must have Salesforce/nCino and Synergy familiarity.

Wage Range:

The salary for this position ranges from $21 to $23 per hour
