Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (โ€œJamisonโ€) is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Mail Services Mail Clerk.
Job Title: Mail Services Mail Clerk
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
Mail Clerks perform all incoming and outgoing mail processing activities supporting the customerโ€™s facilities in Bethesda, Rockville, and Gaithersburg. Duties include receipt, inspection, x-ray screening, sorting, preparation, routing, tracking, and distribution of USPS, commercial carrier, accountable, and internal mail.


Responsibilities:

Receive incoming mail.
Perform x-ray screening.
Visually inspect mail.
Sort mail by mail stop.
Process accountable mail.
Log accountable items into the systems.
Prepare outgoing USPS mail.
Prepare commercial carrier shipments.
Meter outgoing mail.
Prepare certified and registered mail.
Maintain chain of custody.
Research insufficiently addressed mail.
Process interoffice mail.
Process publications and printed materials.
Maintain accurate processing records.
Maintain a clean work area.
Follow all security procedures.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Minimum one year of mail handling experience.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to move USPS containers weighing up to 1,200 pounds using appropriate equipment.
Professional customer service skills.
Ability to obtain all required credentials.
Location: On-Site- Bethesda, Rockville, and Gaithersburg locations.
Schedule:

The CMF shall be operational between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays. Satellite mail facilities shall be operational between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday, except Federal holidays.
Clearance Level Required: Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any required background checks, in accordance with applicable law.
