Job description

Opening its doors over 45 years ago, FSSI is a leading document outsourcing company servicing Fortune 500 companies in the financial, banking, insurance and billing industries across the U.S.

FSSI is currently looking for a Bindery Machine Operator to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. This position is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of bindery and print finishing machinery in a high-volume print and mail processing environment.

Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

Overtime is scheduled as needed, and could require coming in earlier, staying later, and working weekend shifts during high-volume production cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and set-up machinery that performs print finishing operations, such as, inserting, folding, cutting, tabbing, stamping, UV coating, booklet making, and inkjet printing.
  • Learn and follow all established quality control procedures to consistently produce with accuracy.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, frequently 10 or more hours per day and some weekend shifts, is required on a recurring basis.
  • Additional work, as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have related experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or related environment.
  • Bindery experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of GEP Finishing Systems is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to work overtime when needed is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Continuous standing, walking and movement of the upper body for up to 10 hours a day. Regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift, move, pull, and push up to 40 pounds. Specific visions required by this job include close, distance, accurate color, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
