Job description

Location: Bowling Green, KY


Cannon Automotive Solutions,a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler in our Bowling Green, Stamping facility. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Counts weight or measures incoming/outgoing items comparing information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other identifying records
  • Ensure product meets standards, is not damaged, or there are no shortages and communicates with the shipper to rectify any deficiencies
  • Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies require to move or reorganize storage
  • Responsible to ensure cargo is secured properly and safely with weight evenly distributed for transport
  • Drive company vehicle when necessary
  • Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests, documents transactions appropriately, prepares requisitions and computes costs, keeps records of storeroom inventory


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers
  • Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset
  • 1-3 years' experience in a production environment
