Marketing Manager - Harrah's & Tropicana Laughlin 

Summary

This person is responsible for the management of Events & Promotions, Direct Marketing, maintaining all signage, video, web, social media, and out-of-home marketing for both internal and external advertising. Assists with creating and disseminating public relations material relevant to marketing entertainment, attractions, promotions, community activities and other amenities at Harrah's. The Marketing Manager also assists in community and government affairs activities as directed. Must be extremely successful at building and maintaining strong working relationships. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED 

  • Literate and fluent in English 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing and three (3) years of promotion and event experience in the casino industry. 
  • Must be available to work varied shifts and days 
  • Proven success in areas such as advertising, budgeting, analysis, event planning and execution, and entertainment scheduling. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to conceive, draft and edit a wide variety of corporate writing for both internal and external communications. 
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, including independent decision making. 
  • Capable to work on a Mac and PC platform. 
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe software as well as Microsoft Office software. 
  • Knowledge of digital cameras, file formatting, and mobile devices. 
  • Knowledge of various printing processes including 4 colors offset and web. 
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced departments. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to coordinate all phases of design and production with corporate as well as with outside vendors. 
  • Friendly, excellent interaction skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. 
  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY 

  • Plan and execute all events, promotions, and entertainment. 
  • Create pro formas, proposals, and creative strategies for all Marketing initiatives including but not limited to concerts, promotions, events, tournaments, and direct mail initiatives. 
  • Assist in the development of all events and promotions as well as managing the Marketing calendar. 
  • Create and update SOPs for all events and promotions. 
  • Coordinate reporting of program results with Planning & Analysis team and Internal Audit 
  • Coordinate communication and execution of events and promotions with departments involved. 
  • Maintain effective use of resources, scheduling, staff levels, expense purchases, capital purchases, etc. 
  • Supports corporate & departmental strategies while achieving strategic and tactical goals. 
  • Manages and works alongside Advertising Specialist and Seasonal Intern to ensure all advertising goals are met. 
  • Coordinates & composes press releases, which include entertainment, restaurants, promotions, property amenities and additions, for the express purpose of marketing Harrah's/Tropicana 
  • Responsible for all content management, creativity, and design for all advertising materials and programming. 
  • Works closely with internal departments and corporate partners to ensure brand standards and campaign needs are consistently met with task-on-time delivery. 
  • Develops collateral materials and maintains inventories of various in-house materials such as promotional collateral, entertainment materials and other miscellaneous promotional items. 
  • Develops and maintains web, social media, videos, and electronic reader board messages/marquees. 
  • Responsible for managing pre-stay email calendars and approving creativity. 
  • Coordinates with partners, departments, and vendors for specialty events. 
  • Responsible for budget and invoice tracking. 
  • Executes successful photo & video shoots for on-property marketing, local and national television, and print. 
  • Develops and maintains photo and video library monitoring rights and usage. 
  • Reviews and approves direct marketing campaigns for accuracy and brand standards. 
  • Works closely with entertainment promoters and manages all radio and added value campaigns (ticket giveaways, interviews, etc.) 
  • Schedules advertising rotation, distribution, display dates and times. 
  • Manages and maintains all on hold messaging. 
  • Manages implementation of contractual agreements with the Corporate Sponsorship Team. 
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with partners and departments by supporting their initiatives and monitoring the progression/success.
