Summary

The Production Expeditor coordinates and fulfills client orders that have been identified with an issue, ensuring all records are processed, verified, and meet quality and compliance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Expedites client order/records that fail quality and compliance standards
  • Prints, cut, bind, and fulfill daily pick up orders/records
  • Submit and manage pick-ups reprints
  • Utilizes Open Jobs Report to see where issues are that need to be addressed
  • Works as team member to communicate with Production Control on open issues, client expedites and special projects
  • Enters completed orders into daily Shipping Report
  • Processes returns
  • Immediately notify Management of any production blockers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year experience with printing, binding, and inserting equipment
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend written instructions and job tickets
  • Strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems including Word and Excel
  • Commercial Printing or Direct Mail experience is a plus
  • Formal Process Improvement Training (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma) also a plus
  • Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
  • Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality, and timeliness of work
  • Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely, and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner
  • Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization
  • Support and meet company/department goals and core values
  • Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals
Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb. In addition, requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 10 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
