Work Now Staffing is on the lookout for dedicated and enthusiastic Mail Sorters to join our dynamic team at our Brookfield, WI client. If you're ready to dive into a fast-paced, hands-on role, we want to hear from you!

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd - 4:00pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday, Saturdays may be required for OT in busy seasons

Job Details:

As a Mail Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that mail is accurately sorted and prepared for distribution. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals who thrive in a busy environment.

  • Accurate Sorting: Swiftly and accurately sweep mail into corresponding bins when working on sorting equipment
  • Verify Information: Ensure Zip Codes and addresses are correct
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a keen eye for detail in all tasks
  • Mail Distribution: Distribute full mail trays/tubs to appropriate locations on the shop floor
  • Packaging: Correctly package mail and label trays/tubs for USPS distribution
  • Loading/Unloading: Handle mail trays/tubs from USPS All Purpose Carriers/pallets efficiently
  • Troubleshooting: Act as a troubleshooter to resolve any issues that arise
  • Follow Directions: Accommodate UMS supervisor’s instructions effectively
  • Physical Activity: Lift 20-25 pound containers repetitively and work standing/walking a production line for the entire shift
  • Mail Handling: Remove mail from processing equipment, place it in containers, and package containers
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to twist and turn the upper body, and grasp and hold handfuls of mail
Requirements:
  • Footwear: Closed-toed shoes with rubber bottoms (slip-resistant) are required
  • Dress Code: Plain T-shirts and jeans
  • Team Player: Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively
