Job description

Die Setter I - Rochester Hills, MichiganContract-to-Hire PositionDay Shift - Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

First Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm

Position Summary of the Die Setter I:Responsible for performing mold and machine set ups. When necessary, assists other team members on the production floor.Roles and Responsibilities of the Die Setter I:¨NBSP;

  • Completely sets tools for start up

  • Responsible for accurate and timely records, including quality and PlantStar

  • Upon completion of a job run, pulls mold after verifying printouts, per set-up procedure

  • Pulls job package

  • Completely sets up molds that are proven capable for start up, including necessary paperwork and spot checks per mold set-up procedures

  • Work overtime when necessary

  • Has authority to stop the process if non-conforming or suspect material is found

  • Other related duties and/or projects as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements of the Die Setter I:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience as an injection molder with multi-cavity tooling

Skills and Physical Requirements of the Die Setter I:

  • Training and experience in statistical process control, preferred

  • Knowledge of 5S philosophy, desired

  • College coursework, preferred

  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Professional demeanor and ethical conduct, including handling confidential information appropriately

  • Ability to lift 55 pounds

  • Excessive walking, bending, climbing, and lifting

  • Ability to climb a ladder

  • Requires alertness, precision, and methodical attributes

  • Visual demands while looking at parts
