Job description

Our client, a manufacturing organization specializing in precision components, is seeking a Machine Shop Support to join their team. As a Machine Shop Support, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the Machine Shop team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and strong communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Shop Support

Location: Alexandria, MN

Pay Range: $20+/hour

Shift: 3rd Shift: M- F, 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM

What's the Job?

  • Support the Machine Shop department through washing, deburring, tumbling, packing, punching, and assembly tasks
  • Operate CNC machines as needed to support production goals
  • Read and interpret manufacturing orders and blueprints to ensure components meet specifications
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measurement devices to verify parts meet customer standards
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and promoting safety culture

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to recognize safety concerns and act accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills and a motivated, self-starting attitude
