Machine Operator
Work Arrangement: In-Office, Hamel, MN
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., or Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:25 p.m.-1:55 a.m.

Role Overview
The Machine Operator operates CNC milling and turning centers and manual machinery, including mills, drills, lathes, and saws, to perform routine or repetitive manufacturing operations. This role may also perform plating operations in support of production needs. The Machine Operator follows established procedures to ensure work consistently meets customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards. Success in this role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC milling and turning centers and manual machinery, including mills, drills, lathes, and saws.
  • Perform routine or repetitive machining operations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate saws and perform work in the annealing center as assigned.
  • Perform plating operations in accordance with quality requirements and production standards.
  • Read blueprints and use mechanical inspection methods to verify completed work.
  • Apply shop math and measurement skills to complete work accurately.
  • Maintain consistent compliance with customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; machine shop coursework desired.
  • Ability to operate saws and work in an annealing center.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical inspection.
  • Knowledge of shop math and the ability to read a tape measure.

Compensation
$20.00-$24.00/hour, plus a $1.50/hour shift premium for second shift. Signing bonus of up to $3,000 is available, depending on shift.
