Job Description

This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to begin a career in manufacturing and production. As a Fabrication Laborer / Entry-Level Assembler, you assemble components and products according to specifications, use hand and power tools safely, and help ensure that all finished items meet quality and accuracy standards. You work closely with a small, supportive team in a clean, organized fabrication and production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, components, and products by following work instructions, diagrams, and blueprint schematics.
  • Perform mechanical and general assembly using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools such as tape measures.
  • Operate basic fabrication and production equipment, including fabrication machinery, machine tools, and press brakes, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Handle sheet metal and other metalworking tasks as part of the fabrication process.
  • Support general production and construction-related fabrication tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the fabrication and machine shop environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and assembly processes at all times.
  • Report any defects, equipment issues, or production problems promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members, contribute to a positive team environment, and assist others as needed to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and basic blueprints for assembly and fabrication tasks.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical assembly and general production processes.
  • Experience or strong comfort using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Familiarity with sheet metal work and metalworking processes is helpful.
  • Experience reading and working from blueprint schematics is desirable.
  • Exposure to general manufacturing or the broader manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and report defects or issues promptly.

Work Environment

You work in a clean, open production and fabrication facility that remains generally quiet except when presses and other machinery are running. The team consists of approximately 12–16 people, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The schedule is first shift only, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours. The environment involves fabrication, machine operation, and general production work with hand and power tools, sheet metal, and press equipment, all within established safety guidelines. The dress code allows T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts without rips, and jeans or shorts that are presentable and free of profanity or suggestive content. Closed-toe shoes are required at all times on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
