Job description

HiFyve is hiring a 2nd Shift Swiss CNC Machinist in the machining industry!

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Pay: Up to $38/hour

Location: Twin Cities Metro Area, MN / Near St. Paul, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines to maintain stable production output

Support the launch and success of a new second shift in a small Swiss machining shop

Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency

Assist a less experienced operator working on the same shift

Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings

Perform routine quality checks using precision measuring tools

Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Complete production documentation and inspection records

Support team collaboration and help ensure second shift runs smoothly

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

Technical training or machining certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong experience operating Swiss CNC machines

Setup experience preferred

Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math

Understanding of G-code and CNC machining fundamentals

Experience with precision measuring equipment

Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and maintain production flow

Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Sugami Swiss machine experience is a strong plus
